Steve Harvey '80<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Steven (Steve) Victor Harvey<\/strong> retired in 2020 and moved to San Diego, California. He is an avid tennis player, and recently played on back-to-back San Diego County USTA 3.5 Level Championship teams. He and his wife recently completed a retirement celebration trip to Spain, Portugal and France for seven weeks. In his spare time, Steve does consulting about family business issues.<\/p>\n

Carmelina Onorato Livingston<\/strong> is the lead STEM education specialist at STEM Centers SC\/SC Coalition for Mathematics and Science.<\/p>\n

1987<\/h2>\n

Ericka Clemons Wooten<\/strong> was named director of culture and values at The Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina in February 2023.\u00a0 She has been at the Foundation for about five years, and was previously the director of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.<\/p>\n

1996<\/h2>\n

Elizabeth (Beth) Threadgill Herlihy<\/strong> is excited that her daughter is attending USC Upstate this fall.<\/p>\n

Shawna Lee Chadwick Rose<\/strong> is a registered nurse at Sacred Ground Residential Hospice House.<\/p>\n

Robert Isenhart<\/strong> was recently promoted from deputy chief information security officer to chief information security officer for the state of Maryland Department of Human Services. Robert was also appointed by former Gov. Larry Hogan to the state\u2019s Modernize Maryland Oversight Commission, which focuses on strengthening cybersecurity for critical state infrastructure and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of residents\u2019 data.<\/p>\n

Nicholas (Nick) Eugene Gregory<\/strong> was recently promoted as claim team manager for State Farm Fire & Casualty Insurance Co., managing a team covering the territory encompassing Spartanburg, Cherokee, Union, Laurens, York, and Lancaster counties in South Carolina.<\/p>\n

Angel Cagle Sorrells<\/strong> works at CSL Plasma. She was promoted from chemist II to senior chemist on May 1, 2023.<\/p>\n

Frank Carlton Mervin<\/strong> is the manager of academic interventions at Valdosta State University.<\/p>\n

2007<\/h2>\n

Melissa Payne Craig<\/strong> received her MSN in 2020 from Capella University.<\/p>\n

Lakisha Spears McNair<\/strong> has a new job as executive director of the Lupus Foundation of America, North Carolina Chapter.<\/p>\n

2009<\/h2>\n

Alyssa Ryan Ashdown<\/strong> is the associate director of digital and visual media at Stanford University. She previously worked at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta and Emory University.<\/p>\n

Johnny Lorenzo Rhode III<\/strong> was appointed principal of Shoally Creek Elementary School by the Spartanburg Country School District 2 board of trustees. He began his new role this fall.<\/p>\n

Jasmine Buckmire Herbert<\/strong> is the president of The Employee Handbook, Career & Workforce Solutions in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She served as the keynote speaker at the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences Career Day event at USC Upstate in February 2023.<\/p>\n

Johnny and Gina Rhode '11<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Gina Wright Rhode<\/strong> was appointed assistant principal of Boiling Springs Middle School by the Spartanburg School District 2 board of trustees. She began her new role this fall.<\/p>\n

Traveres Hicks '11 and Professor Emeritus Charles Love<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Travares Gregory Hicks<\/strong> was recently appointed principal of Julius Chambers High School in Charlotte, North Carolina.<\/p>\n

Daysha Level Meekins<\/strong> has been married almost seven years to fellow USC Upstate alumnus Frank Corbett Meekins<\/strong> '05.\u00a0 They were married on the USC Upstate campus. She has a 1-year- old son and is the assistant principal at South Mecklenburg High School.<\/p>\n

Lacey Boyd Walker<\/strong> is married to Jeremy Nathaniel Walker and they have three girls.<\/p>\n

Jessica Murphy Prado '12<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Jessica Murphy Prado<\/strong> received her MA in industrial and organizational psychology from Adler University in 2019.\u00a0 She also received her Ph.D in industrial and organizational psychology from Adler in 2022.\u00a0 While a student, Jessica was president of Psi Chi, was a member of the Psychology Honor Society, and was vice president of the Hispanic Latinx Student Association. She was valedictorian of her class, and was elected by the faculty, staff and students to be the graduate speaker in 2022.<\/p>\n

2013<\/h2>\n

Kimberly Archer Young<\/strong> has become a certified public accountant and has earned her master\u2019s degree in accountancy. She is currently teaching at Greenville Technical College and won a national award for innovative teaching and a regional award for teaching excellence. She has spoken at many teaching conferences around the country on captivating a classroom and taking control of your personal finances. She has also written two books on controlling your personal finances, the most recent of which is Big Bucks: A Money Management Book for Teens<\/em>.<\/p>\n

2014<\/h2>\n

Grey Hampton Ramsey<\/strong> was recently named athletic director and football coach of the new Spartanburg charter school Mountain View Prep. He will begin his new job when the school opens in fall 2024, but until then will continue to serve as the assistant head football coach at Spartanburg High School.<\/p>\n

Midas Hampton '15<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Michael (Midas) Joseph Hampton<\/strong> was named executive director of the Spartanburg Community Indicators Project in July 2023. He was previously the national director of research and evaluation at Urban Alliance in Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n

Brittany Kanika Stubblefield<\/strong> has a son, Noah, who is 3 years old.<\/p>\n

2017<\/h2>\n

Joshua (Josh) Louis Murphy<\/strong> recently was hired as a photojournalist at WYFF 4 in Greenville, South Carolina.<\/p>\n

Erika Laurence Parker<\/strong> was married in December 2018 to Gunnar Parker. They have two children, Lilliann Reed Park, born June 2020, and Owen Buell Parker, born February 2023.<\/p>\n

Sydney Ashley Sawyer<\/strong> moved back to Boiling Springs, South Carolina, in February of 2022 to take a job with WSPA Channel 7 News.\u00a0 She started as a national sales associate, and within eight months was promoted to a digital account executive in the Greenville office.<\/p>\n

Samantha Stolz '17, M.Ed. '22<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Samantha Stolz<\/strong> M.Ed. \u201922 was honored as the 2023 Teacher of the Year by Fairforest Middle School. She teaches sixth-grade math.<\/p>\n

Danielle Louise Cassells<\/strong> will soon be an attorney in the state of Alabama.<\/p>\n

Tierra Laverne McMillan<\/strong> is the housing coordinator at the South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Servies. Tierra recently was the keynote speaker at the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences Scholars Day event at USC Upstate.<\/p>\n

Brianna Smith Moseley<\/strong> is married to Doug Moseley, and they have two children, James and Finley.\u00a0 She has a new home and a new employer, Elliott & Painter LLP, which merged with her previous employer, NJCO.<\/p>\n

Courtney Amber Pitts<\/strong> is a licensed veterinary technician and works at Columbia Veterinary Emergency Trauma and Specialty.<\/p>\n

Meredith (Jack) Burroughs '19<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Meredith (Jack) Burroughs <\/strong>was named Spartanburg School District 7 Teacher of the Year for 2023. She teaches social studies and coaches volleyball at Spartanburg High School.<\/p>\n

Shelby Ward Perkins<\/strong> began a job as sales and marketing director at Manning Square Assisted Living in Greer, South Carolina.<\/p>\n

Alicia Shaw<\/strong> started a financial planning practice after working at Scansource.<\/p>\n

Adailia Adrianna Talley<\/strong> has been employed as an initial licensing coordinator at the South Carolina Department of Social Services since 2019.<\/p>\n

2021<\/h2>\n

Tera L. Adams<\/strong> bought a new house in July 2022.<\/p>\n

Katlin (Katie) Owens Perkins<\/strong> was married on October 8, 2022, to Trevor W. Perkins.<\/p>\n

2022<\/h2>\n

Dawson James Adams<\/strong> began graduate school this fall at Maynooth University in Maynooth, Ireland, where he is studying military history and strategic studies. He had been working as a substitute teacher for District 5 schools in Spartanburg County and for High Point Academy since graduating from USC Upstate.<\/p>\n

Keiana Therese Dillard<\/strong> has a new job at Boiling Springs Elementary School as an after-school counselor.
\nDestiny Kimberly Dominguez<\/strong> has a new job as business resource coordinator at OneSpartanburg, Inc.<\/p>\n

Irene Biganzoli<\/strong> recently earned a master of professional studies in fashion management from Parsons School of Design - The New School in New York.<\/p>\n

Caitlyn (Hunter) Arms<\/strong> is an assistant account executive at Smoak Public Relations. Prior to being hired full time, she was an intern with the company while a student at USC Upstate, then continued as a part-time employee until she graduated.<\/p>\n

Phillip Tommy Johnson<\/strong> is the marketing and communication assistant at Spartanburg County Public Libraries.<\/p>\n

Madison Danielle Lark<\/strong> will be pursuing her master\u2019s in economic research in Prague.<\/p>\n
